CBD cosmetics: hemp oil in everyday care

In cosmetics, cannabidiol and hemp oil are ingredients rather than an active with an approved action. So what matters here is the formula: which extract is used, at what concentration, and with which carriers and oils it is combined.

Hemp seed oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and is used as an emollient. It is not the same as CBD extract — a product may contain both, and the ingredient list names them separately.

The category covers creams, serums and balms for face and body. These are cosmetics under Regulation 1223/2009 and are labelled by INCI.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD?

Hemp seed oil is pressed from the seeds and holds almost no cannabidiol. CBD extract comes from the flower and leaves. They appear as separate ingredients in the formula.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The full INCI list is on each product page. If you have a known allergy, check the ingredients before buying.

Is there THC in the cosmetics?

Under 0.2%, as everywhere in the shop. We require a lab report for every batch.

Can it be used around the eyes?

Only if the product is labelled for that area. Body creams are not for mucous membranes.

How long does a pack last?

It depends on the amount and how often it is applied. The volume is stated on every page.
