Paste is a minimally processed extract in an applicator — typically 30–50% cannabidiol, several times the concentration of an oil. That makes it both the most economical form per milligram and the least convenient for a first purchase: servings are small and measured by eye against the applicator scale.
RAW paste keeps the acidic forms of the cannabinoids — CBDA and CBGA — which heating the extract converts into CBD and CBG. The taste is markedly plant-like precisely because nothing has been removed.
Concentration works as it does for an oil: milligrams divided by the grams in the applicator. 1500 mg in a 5 g applicator is 30%.
It is the most concentrated form, so a single division carries many milligrams. For a first purchase an oil doses in smaller steps.
The extract was not heated, so the cannabinoids stay acidic — CBDA and CBGA, as in the plant.
The applicator is graduated. The pack states the total grams and the cannabinoids per gram — one division follows from those.
Concentration and form. Paste is a thick extract at 20–50%, oil is a diluted extract at 5–40%. Milligrams per gram in a paste are many times higher.
Because it is minimally processed — it keeps waxes and plant material that further processing removes.
A pronounced grassy taste, stronger than the oils. That follows from the terpenes and the minimal processing.
In the dark at room temperature. In the cold the paste thickens and is harder to press out — let the applicator warm in your hand.
RAW is unheated and its report lists the acidic forms CBDA and CBGA. Compare total cannabinoids, and compare RAW with RAW.
