CBD paste: the most concentrated form

Paste is a minimally processed extract in an applicator — typically 30–50% cannabidiol, several times the concentration of an oil. That makes it both the most economical form per milligram and the least convenient for a first purchase: servings are small and measured by eye against the applicator scale.

RAW paste keeps the acidic forms of the cannabinoids — CBDA and CBGA — which heating the extract converts into CBD and CBG. The taste is markedly plant-like precisely because nothing has been removed.

Concentration works as it does for an oil: milligrams divided by the grams in the applicator. 1500 mg in a 5 g applicator is 30%.

Frequently asked questions

Is paste suitable for beginners?

Probably not. The concentration is high and the serving is measured against a scale rather than in drops — it is easier to start with an oil and move to paste once you know your amount.

What does RAW mean?

That the extract has not been heated, so it still contains the acidic forms of the cannabinoids (CBDA, CBGA) rather than only the decarboxylated CBD and CBG.
